Bedroom Lighting | Atmosphere & Comfort

Table of contents

Good bedroom lighting is all about calm, comfort and atmosphere. Unlike in a kitchen, for example, the light does not need to be equally bright throughout the entire room. Warm general lighting can be combined with focused reading lights, indirect lighting and functional lighting near wardrobes or a dressing area.

Colour temperature also plays an important role in bedroom lighting. Warm light, such as 2700K, is often chosen because it creates a soft and pleasant atmosphere. Indirect LED lighting can add extra depth to the room, while reading lights beside the bed provide sufficient focused light without illuminating the entire space.

The position of the lighting points is closely related to the bed, bedside tables, wardrobes and any dressing area. Bedroom lighting should therefore ideally be planned together with the interior layout. A standard grid of spotlights is rarely the best solution.

Dimmable lighting and separate lighting groups make it easy to switch between functional light and a calm evening atmosphere. This allows the same bedroom to feel practical during the day and relaxing in the evening.

With a professional lighting plan, we consider the entire room and coordinate the luminaires, beam angles, colour temperature, dimming and positioning with the interior and the way the bedroom is used.

Curious which bedroom lighting is best suited to your interior? Have your lighting plan professionally designed and create a bedroom where atmosphere and functionality come together perfectly.
